How to Import Numbers from a Spreadsheet into Your Mobile Phone?
Recently, a grassroots worker contacted us asking for advice on how to import numbers from a spreadsheet into their mobile phone. Here's the situation: this worker created a spreadsheet on their computer that contains contact information for local orchards and vegetable growers.
Their job involves frequently contacting these farmers at their orchards and farms. Although they carry a physical copy of the spreadsheet with them, it is inconvenient to manually find the contact person and enter their number into the phone every time they need to make a call.
It's worth mentioning that these orchard and farm owners are not avid users of messaging apps like WeChat. Additionally, the network signal is weak in rural areas and mountains where they work, so making phone calls is more reliable. Therefore, to streamline their work, they want to import all the numbers from the Excel spreadsheet into their phone's address book, complete with relevant notes, so they can easily find and call the respective contacts.
So, how can we import the numbers from the spreadsheet into the mobile phone? By using a tool called "Dao Hao Bao" (导号宝), this problem can be easily solved.
First, log in to the "Fa Dao Wang" website and download the Excel template for "Dao Hao Bao" to your computer.
Next, open the Excel spreadsheet containing the contact information and copy-paste the contact details (name + phone number) into the Excel template, making sure to follow the template format.
Save the Excel template and import it into the website for online format conversion. Once the website receives the file, it will instantly convert it into a VCF format file which you can download to your computer.
Send the converted VCF file (address book file) to your mobile phone. Please note that this file cannot be opened on a computer; it must be sent to and opened on your phone.
On your phone, accept the file and open it using the "Contacts" function, which is available on both Apple and Android phones. The specific steps may vary depending on your phone's brand and model.
Depending on your phone's operating system, you may also be able to find a "Settings" button within the contacts section, where you can locate the "Import Contacts" feature and open the VCF file that was sent to your phone.
Once the import is complete, the contact information will appear in your phone's address book.
