How to Import vCard Contacts on Huawei Phones?
For Huawei phone users, how can you import vCard contacts?
Firstly, you need to obtain the vCard file. There are many ways to do this including exporting contacts from your phone to generate a vCard file or converting an Excel spreadsheet into a vCard file. You can also export vCard files from mainstream email services' contact book function.
Steps to Import vCard Contacts on Huawei Phones
Place the exported vCard file into your phone's internal storage. Then open the Contacts app on your phone, tap the three dots in the upper right corner, select Settings > Import/Export > Import from Storage Device to view the specific data. After importing the vCard file, you can see the contact's information in your phone's address book.
Please note that directly exported vCard files (with the .vcf extension) cannot be opened directly. You need to import them into your phone's address book to view the information.
Import vCard Contacts Using Huawei Phone Manager
In addition to importing contacts directly on your Huawei phone, you can also use Huawei Phone Manager software on your computer to complete the operation. However, note the following requirements:
Huawei Phone Manager does not support importing contact files exported from third-party assistants except for vCard format.
Huawei Phone Manager does not support importing Google account contacts.
You can only select one .csv/.vCard file at a time for importing. If you have multiple .csv/.vCard files, please import them separately.
Import vCard Contacts on Huawei Cloud
Huawei phone users can also import vCard contact files on Huawei Cloud. Log in to your Huawei Cloud account using a computer browser.
Click the "Menu" icon in the toolbar, select "Import Contacts," and then choose "Select vCard File." Select the vCard file with the correct format from your computer. You can then see all the newly added contact information in your contact list.
Note: The generated vCard file must be saved on your computer in advance. If you don't know how to convert it, you can use online tools such as "Excel to Contact List" to help you.
Troubleshooting Huawei Phone Unable to Import vCard Contacts
When using Huawei phones to import contacts, make sure to meet the following conditions:
Ensure that the exported contact file has not been modified.
Note: The exported contact file is a file with a .csv/.vcf suffix, which cannot be modified. If it is modified, the saved format will change, and the file cannot be parsed when reimported.
